There’s a secret hiding behind a lot of our favorite nostalgic pastime treats: industrial seed oils, artificial flavors, petroleum-derived preservatives, and too much sugar. (We know, we make cotton candy…) That’s why we started The Jolly Sheep! Take all the naughty treats we know and love and give them a quality ingredient makeover — for less of the guilty and more of the pleasure.

Site Requirements
POWER
A single popcorn machine requires a full 15A/20A circuit — machines draw up to 1100W of power.
Any additional items added to the same circuit, such as high-powered DJ equipment, extensive lighting, bouncers, or additional catering machines will trip the breaker. We’d hate to see all the lights go off when the popcorn machine starts up!
We provide extensions to set up as far as 100 feet away from the nearest outlet.
Don’t forget to ask us about generator rentals!
SPACE, CLEARANCE, LOAD IN/OUT

Setup area: With umbrella we recommend at least an 8 x 8 ft. area, with at least 5 ft. distance from any rear walls.
Height: The umbrella requires 10 ft. of vertical clearance.
Width: Measure your spaces to ensure we can reach your intended service area. Our carts vary in size and need from 30 to 36” width to pass.
Stairs/Hard to reach areas: We may need to charge a service fee for additional labor if the cart needs to be carried up long flights of stairs. Best discussed during the booking process.

Yes. We use commercial-grade poppers that output up to 240 servings per hour. For larger events we run 2-3 machines simultaneously, pushing throughput to 700+ servings/hour at peak. Just as important: we pop in batches throughout the service window — typically every 15-20 minutes — so what's coming out of the cart is always fresh, not pre-bagged unless part of the plan.

All of our popcorn is naturally gluten-free. Most options are vegan-friendly and non-GMO. Our optional melted ghee topping and cheddar options contain dairy. Our kettle corn, avocado oil & sea salt, olive oil & sea salt, caramel kettle, and cotton candy inspired flavors are all vegan and dairy-free. Standard popcorn is nut-free — toppings vary, so share dietary needs in your quote request and we'll confirm.

Yes — any of our 30+ cotton candy flavors are available as kettle corn. Strawberry, Blueberry, Green Apple, and Lemon make great kettle corn, with or without additional food coloring.

Color shows up across three touchpoints: custom-color kettle corn (tinted in any color you specify), branded packaging (custom-printed labels and full-print boxes with your colors), and cart aesthetic (carnival or modern styles). Our kernels and flavors are organic, but the colors on custom-color kettle corn use professional food-grade colorants — not natural by default. If your event requires 100% natural coloring, we can accommodate with a more limited shade range. Our standard varieties have no added colors at all.

Standard catering with our existing flavors and standard 2.5" custom labels: as little as 7-10 days, with rush turnaround available for tighter timelines. Full-print custom boxes: 3-4 weeks (printer turnaround drives the timeline). For peak season weekends, the earlier the better.

From 50-guest weddings to multi-day brand activations serving thousands. For high-volume events we deploy multiple machines, carts, and staff — or industrial kettle corn machines for festival scale. Share your guest count in your quote request and we'll confirm what we can deliver.

Our popcorn cart is the same base we built for our cotton candy service — and many of our other catering services. We mount our custom gold-painted commercial popcorn machines on top, available in a few different styles, all finished in gold. For brand activations, machine top panels accept full-color vinyl wraps for custom branding. Prefer a traditional red-and-white cart or another color treatment instead? We can customize the cart finish to match — share your event aesthetic in your quote request and we'll work from there.
