It couldn’t be a better time to spin cotton candy. Today more than ever, we need to come together to celebrate the jolly moments in life!

The Jolly Sheep was founded in 2019 by Crystal and Pablo. It started in Glendale as a single cotton candy cart.

Today The Jolly Sheep is a specialty catering and manufacturing shop in Norwalk, California, and your one-stop shop for events: live catering, custom gifting favors and wholesale, and a micro venue rental. We run 13 specialty catering services and manufacture packaged favors from our own facility. The business grew from that one Glendale cart to a Fullerton space in 2021, then to our very own Norwalk cotton candy and popcorn factory in 2023, which reached full operation in 2026. More than 100 global brands, plus countless private celebrations across So Cal and beyond have trusted us.

Most of our catering services started with you: a customer trusted us to pull off a custom request and we figured it out, putting our own special touch on it. Cotton candy is where it began. It meant something to Crystal long before it was a business, a small and dependable joy from growing up. At a part-time event-planning gig she watched a hired cotton candy cart turn a room of adults back into kids. That was the moment the idea took hold.

Pablo left his job as a product manager to build it with her, right as the pandemic shut everything down, and they kept it alive through a lean first couple of years. The standard they set then still runs the business. Early on, a mother in Seattle ordered cotton candy for her son's birthday, one of the few treats his allergies allowed. A holiday backed up the shipping, so Crystal made the batch by hand, bought a plane ticket, and flew it to Seattle through the snow to put it in his hands on time. Trust us with a moment and we deliver it.

We are just as particular about what goes in. Our cotton candy tastes nothing like the pink-and-blue bags around town, because we use real natural flavoring, which is how we built more than twenty-five flavors that surprise even the cotton candy haters! We spin alongside charities and nonprofits in our communities and hire local people and businesses. As we grow we are working to cut our reliance on plastics and fossil fuels. The Jolly Sheep was born from the sheepish grins of unsuspecting customers. Cotton candy melts hardened souls, stokes the innocent flames of youth, and turns every man jolly.

The name came from one moment at a wedding. Pablo offered cotton candy to a tough-looking guy walking through with his partner. The man locked eyes, stern, then his face broke into a childish grin and he said yes, a little sheepishly. There was something in that moment, and the name stuck.

It works on more than one level. Spun cotton candy looks a lot like a sheep's soft, fluffy wool. And a happy sheep speaks to what we care about beyond the dessert: animal welfare, and the gentler food choices we hope more people lean toward.

A percentage of every order and event goes toward helping animals in need. Dogs and other domestic animals have become effective ambassadors for the wider animal world, and as more people recognize that all animals think, feel, and suffer, the case for treating them better gets harder to ignore. We choose the organizations doing the most effective work, often where animal welfare meets environmental protection and public health. Over the years we have donated to The Humane League and local animal rescues.
